Lighting & Staging

NLB Drama Theatre

NLB Drama Theatre

The National Library Drama Centre adds to Singapore's pool of world-class purpose built performing arts spaces with its 615-seat proscenium theatre. O’Connor’s equipped the theatre with state-of-the-art lighting, rigging and sound systems, and an orchestra pit on a lift that can also form a front stage extension. This was the first theatre in Singapore to use ETCNet2 as the infrastructure for transmitting DMX signals from the consoles to the receiver, for example, for dimmers, moving lights, and colour changers. More complex work was completed whereby two venues were linked together so that they can be operated from the control room of either venue.

Singapore Zoological Gardens

Singapore Zoological Gardens

Singapore Zoological Gardens – Night Safari Amphitheatre. In 2003, O’Connor’s was invited to work with a Lighting consultant from the UK, Mr Simon Corder, to complete an indoor and outdoor lighting project. Strand dimmers and power patch panels for the armor cable were deployed in the indoor installation system and laid from seven outdoor lighting poles. The Night Safari was particular concerned about lightning strikes and the system which was set up had to ensure safety and meet the customer’s stringent requirements in this area.
