O’Connor’s has installed a perimeter intrusion detection and control system for Power Seraya. Over four kilometers of the building perimeter fences are protected with barricade vibration sensors. Every fence zone along the power station is supervised by fibre optic-based high performance surveillance cameras.

O’Connor’s provided a turnkey solution for an island-wide network based digital CCTV surveillance system for Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit ("SMRT") operator. This involved 51 stations, three SMRT depots and the Operations and Control Centre. The project was implemented in five phases:

• Phase 1 – the replacement of the analogue equipment with the new Digital Network-based CCTV system
• Phase 2 – a track-to-train CCTV system, which enables the train driver to have ‘live’ images of the platform
• Phase 3 – the installation of additional cameras to monitor strategic locations
• Phase 4 – the provision for additional video recording and storage
• Phase 5 – enhancement of the security at key stations

With the upgrading and extension of the Sri Lanka International Airport, O’Connor’s was selected as the solution provider and implemented a state-of-the-art CCTV system with more than 100 cameras at all strategic locations such as the runway, air bridge, baggage area, immigration checkpoints, etc. A Digital Video Recorder completes the system with round-the-clock video recording. This allows the security officers to observe any suspicious characters as well as unauthorised entry and to provide prompt response to incidents. O’Connor’s is currently working with the Airport Authority of Sri Lanka to provide other solutions to further enhance the overall security of the entire airport.
